As the day 90 passed again, it's time to look back at season 62. And let's get straight to the Drahomír Slovák award: no new palmares in the cabinet meant a really easy decision for the committee which only had to look at the number of points gained by a specific rider in the former season. So after one season the golden pedal goes back to Gusto Drozd, who was also the best scoring Slovak rider overal. Congrats!
Hall of fame:
S56 Rado Holečko
S57 Eduard Pavelka
S58 Eduard Pavelka
S59 Gusto Drozd
S60 Gusto Drozd
S61 Jarolím Samko
S62 Gusto Drozd
The biggest change in the team was of course the departure of Jarolím Samko. Manager Pierre Mrazique decided to use the money on training new riders, as the pressure of the age is starting to build up even for the faithful domestiques of Gusto: Krncan and Cermák. But the coffers of Lokomotíva drained rather quickly, and Mr. Mrazique is currently waiting for some real-deal sponsors to continue with the training.
After the departure of Jarolím Lokomotíva tried Perm Tour with Oskar Debnár in TF, but at the end it was probably the most catastrophic tour ever, as Oskar experienced unbelievable 3 off days.
To have some fun Lokomotíva then signed up to La Génération Future with young riders, as it was for the first time that Lokomotíva had this opportunity. And everybody was very happy with Julo Lietava finishing 7th with only a 3-man squad.
Next season is going to see Lokomotíva shooting up some fireworks with a few TFs still to be used. Let's wish them good luck!
